Between professional cleanings, most jewelry can be maintained with a non- abrasive jewelry cleaner.
To clean diamonds, use a mild solution of six parts water to one part ammonia and apply with a very soft bristle brush. Examine your jewelry regularly to make sure the settings are snug and the clasps and joinings are secure. Prong settings and semi-Pave settings are particularly vulnerable. If hit against a hard surface or snagged on clothing, they may loosen, risking the loss of a gemstone.
Avoid exposing gold jewelry to household bleach, which will quickly cause gold to disintegrate and discolor. Avoid contact with cosmetics, perfumes, hair sprays and other household chemicals. We strongly suggest that you wear the jewellery after putting on the make-up.
This superior craftsmanship requires exceptional care. At all times Kundan jewellery should be kept away form moisture. After each wear gently wipe the jewellery with a soft and dry linen. Avoid cotton wraps to store the jewellery. Use dry linen or plastic zip lock bags to wrap the kundan jewellery and store it in a moisture free environment.
If worn often, pearls should be cleaned and re-strung professionally once a year. In-between cleanings wipe pearls gently with a damp cloth.
Sterling silver tarnishes rapidly when exposed to salt air and products containing sulfur, such as rubber gloves and certain papers. To remove tarnish, we recommend a non- abrasive silver polish.
Storage is also important. At the time of purchase, all our jewelry is packaged in aprotective box or a pouch. Between wearings, we recommend that you placeyour jewelry in its original casing or another suitably lined box or pouch.
